Sorry I'm a bit late tonight... Nicole convinced me to do the speed scrap at Scrap Matters.. Wow! What a rush! Who knew you could feel that much adrenaline when you're scrapping!?!? Anyway, you'll get to see the layout I did next week when she releases her next kit... But for now, here's another little goody for your Late For Class kit. Some grade level stickers. (Kind of an awkward name, but I couldn't think of anything else..) Anyway, here they are... and come back tomorrow for a QP and a sneak peek into my past...

LFC Word Art

First, a sale! Tagger's Scraps is celebrating National Digi-Scrapping Day (Nov. 1st) with a big sale! The entire store is 50% off! Now let's do the math: I sell most of my alphas for $0.99 and kits for about $3.00... So basically, you can get all my stuff for $0.50-$1.50 each! Not bad, eh? It's going on Friday-Monday, so be sure to go check it out!And for your next installment of Late For Class fun, we have some word art and doodles. This was pretty fun to put together. It took me back to high school when I spent far too much time daydreaming and not nearly enough time figuring out the square root of pi... or something equally useful.. ;) Anyway, I hope you like them..

Late For Class

First (of course, there's always a first - I can never get right to the point... My husband hates that...) But anyway, first, here's my LO for Nicole's newest kit, Reflection. It's such a fun kit, and really versatile! You should check out the other LOs from her CT on her blog.

And now - my newest kit, Late For Class. This was SO fun to put together! I had a hard time stopping, because I just kept getting more and more great {I thought} ideas! But I knew I had to wrap it up at some point so you all could share in the fun! Hope you like it! If so, click an ad or two. ;)

Oh! You'll also notice a new blinky to your left, so grab it if you like... I think I'm going to start making one to match each kit... (Thanks Nicole, for showing me how!)

CT Posting Catch-Up

Ok, so I've done a lot of layouts for the various CT's I'm on and haven't posted my new ones, yet.. So... here they are:

These are both (above and below) from the Flea Market Finds kit by C.W. Picket & Co. at AhhhScrap. As you can see, it's pretty versatile...

This is using Kiss of Romance by Jessica Edwards. I love her stuff! You can get it here at AhhhScrap. (A little birdie also told me it will be used for a scraplifting challenge coming up really soon... I'll keep you updated on that little bit of fun as I find out more...)

And this last one is really intersting... One of the blogs I sometimes frequent - Scrapbook Ideas - had a posting yesterday that she was looking for a One-Kit-CT. She had just done her first design and wanted some people to help spread the word. I contacted her and the rest is history. It's called Color Theory: Olive and is part of a series by a whole bunch of designers that were each assigned a different color. I thought it was a pretty fun idea. You can find this kit, and all the others, at Christina Renee Designs.
I also forgot to mention yesterday that I've added a slideshow at the very bottom of my blog, so if you've done anything with any of my kits, I'd love for you to post them there! And if you're looking for more info on my CT Call, you can find that here.

Quick Page Explosion!!!

First things first - as always... I'm having a CT Call! I kept telling myself it was foolish and that it wasn't really necessary... But it just looks so darn fun! So here's the info - I can't wait to hear from you! :)

sorry this is so hard to read - you can click on it to make it bigger...

Second - Lori has done some really great quick pages with Star-Crossed (which I keep forgetting to post) and Celebrate. Go to her blog to grab them - and leave her some love! She does such great work and is a great asset to SO many designers!

And then you have another quick page that you can get from me - it's the layout I did for Nicole's CT using our kits. Hope you like it! :)

And last but not least, Nicole has put together this great add-on pack for the kit. Go to her blog - via the blinky on your upper right - to download.

In any case, I've broken them down into parts small enough for 4Shared to handle and you can just get them here. Once again, I'm SO sorry.. But I hope you were able to find a lot of other fun freebies while you were there. :D

This kit has been retired..

Tonight you're getting page curls from me and the ever-popular Insta Scraps from Nicole. Enjoy!

I know you're all excited about my next collab with Nicole, but there's just a bit of housekeeping to take care of first:

Each Monday is Manic Monday at Taggers Scraps. Select items are on sale for only $1. I always have a few kits available for these sales. This week I'm offering:

Puppy Dog Tails
Sugar & Spice
Cornucopia of Colors That's 75% off for some of these - you can't beat that!
But remember, it's only Monday, so be quick to snag it!

Second: I have a new blinky, so grab that too, if you want. (In the left side bar under my "about me" and "contact info".)

Third: Nicole had a CT call a while back, and I was lucky enough to be selected to join, so without further ado, I'd like to share the first layout I made as an official CT member:

{That's me getting my BFA with my sweet supportive husband}

Isn't it SUPER cute! (Even if I do say so myself...) Don't you love the ribbons and the stars and the great colors! I sure do... That's why I designed some of them! hehehe ;) That's right - this was made using our latest collab!

Introducing..... {drum roll please}....

CELEBRATE!This kit has been retired..

This is was really fun - and challenging at the same time. Both Nicole and I were sort of going through a creative slump and had a hard time getting it off the ground, but it all came together in the end. I hope you like it! Be sure to jump on over to her blog to grab her portions and meet the rest of her CT - and leave her some love, too! :)

Star-Crossed Elements

Note to self: Spinning off of a successful entertainment franchise = successful digi-scrap designing. (A.K.A. Everyone seems to be loving the kit so far, and thank you for your wonderful comments here and on 4Shared!)

I've got to be quick tonight, but first I wanted to share some word art I came across today. It looks I wasn't the only one inspired to release some vampire love yesterday! ;)

You can grab it from Beth's word art blog here. She does some really great stuff!

And here are the elements for Star-Crossed. Hope you like!

Ok - one look at this preview, and you'll know exactly what my inspiration was for this kit... And I know I'm not fooling anyone, but my husband and I have been reading America's favorite vampire love-story (me for the second time, him for the first) and I thought it would be fun to do something a little more moody and dramatic than I typically do.. [You may think it odd that a grown man is reading a series generally accepted as being written for teenage girls, but he wanted to be supportive of his childhood-babysitter-turned-insanely-successful-author... I'm not one for name-dropping, so that's as close as I'll get to admitting my favorite claim to fame]..I think it turned out okay.. you? I tried really hard not to be too literal - notice the "stylized forest" paper - while at the same time not going too goth or s&m... I wanted mysterious elegance, and this is what I came up with...

I'll tell you, though, I had a heck of a time coming up with a name! I didn't want to go for the obvious choice (1) because that was too easy, and (2) for copyright purposes. I was also careful to find images that wouldn't be in violation of any cover art copyrights while still giving credit to my inspiration... Those of you who regularly use my products can appreciate the frustration I went through when I kept having to rename each and every individual file every time I changed my mind on what to call this kit... All my ideas were either already taken, too morbid, or otherwise unavailable... So - this may not be the most accurate to the books, but it will have to do... I hope you like it!

This kit has been retired..

My First Award x3!

Oh shoot, guys - it's been forever, I know! And SO much has happened! {I'm apologizing right now for the length of this post...}

First: I received my first award (yay!) from Becky, but didn't have time to post before I went camping for the weekend (so much fun!) While I was gone, I received it 2 more times! So thank you, Nicole, and Lori! It really made my day! Here it is, along with the meaning behind it (I stole this off Nicole's blog):This award is called the "Proximidade Award" or "Friendship Around The World Award". This award was originally written in Portuguese, not Spanish. When translated to English it means:

"This blog invests and believes, the proximity" [Meaning that blogging makes us 'close'. Being close through proxy].

Then another translation said, "They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text."

As the saying goes, this award basically highlights blogs that are pleasing or special in some way, and also to extend the hand of friendship around the world.

So, I'm now supposed to give the award to 8 other bloggers, and keep the chain going... however, I was planning on doing Nicole and Lori as part of those 8, but they got to me first... So.. Here are my NEW 8. Some of you may not know me, but I really look up to you and enjoy your contributions to the world of digi-scrap-blogging:

  1. Jessica
  2. Amber
  3. Anna
  4. Beth
  5. Diane
  6. Summer
  7. Misty
  8. Ginger
Second on the agenda: Taggers Scraps has started some fun weekly promotions. Check out the flier below:

So for Monday's $1.00 sales, I've included my Alphabet Soup and Pink Lemonade kits - That's over 100 items in each kit for only $1.00!! What a bargain!

I also have an add-on for Days Gone By that will be included in the sale. Be sure to go check it out!

And finally, for those of you have have made it this far... A sneak peek at my next kit.. I'll start releasing tomorrow - hope you like it, and see you soon! :)
