Back to school & a sneak peek!

Share
Hi Everyone!! If you're in the U.S. you are probably either preparing for the kids to go back to school or they've already started. This is our second week back and WOW has it been crazy around here! Staying with that theme, Amber has created a super cute kit and alpha set with the kids going back to school in mind - I totally LOVE this set.. wait. What of Amber's don't I love? hehe

So here's a little sneaky peek at what's going to be hitting Amber's store on Friday..

I need to take more pictures of my daughter just so I can scrap with this.. I took the normal first day picture, but of course, I've scrapped that already and now I need MORE!

Next week, I will be posting the random questions along with the sneak peek and some of the team's answers. Should be SO fun! So for this week's "answer to win it" just leave me a comment with the one thing you HATE about the kids going back to school - the early morning wake ups, the traffic in the morning, the CARLOOP (that's mine!) etc etc.. Leave me a comment and Amber will be back on Friday with this weeks winner!

Have a great week and I'll "see" you all soon!

~Kate

One thing I hate about kids going back to school? I would say packing lunches.. It is so hard for me to find healthy things to stick in there that they will actually eat, and not just bring right back home!!! thanks so much for the opportunity to win. from- deborah

For me the biggest thing I hate about my girls going back to school is the papers scattered all over my house. I'm not sure why or even how their graded homework ends up all over the house... but it does. Also when I find said work... I put it in a box because I'm never sure when to throw it away... or if I should keep it for reference so we accumulate a mess of paper around my house.

I hate waking up in the mornings. Usually Sam wakes up well and sometimes he even wakes me up, but that whole 8am thing is depressing. I know, 8 isn't so bad, but it is to me!

I hate the rushing around in the morning. I hate the waking my 3 year old up from his nap just to pick up his brothers from school. Other then that? I love the quiet while they are gone!

Wow...I can agree with just about all the comments so far! I hate having to wake up early, rush around in the mornings to get everyone ready, fight the traffic while dropping the kids off at school, fight with the kids to do their homework and go to bed early. Reading this, I'm not sure why I'm so excited for school to start next week!

The new kit looks awesome!! My oldest is going on her second year of preschool so I'd have to say the thing I dislike the most is getting up early, I really like sleepidnf in... Or just laying there.

This kit looks really cute. I really don't enjoy making sure all of the homework gets done. Thanks for a chance to win.

I would say finding time for things. When is it best to do the homework, what about play time, what to make for lunch, when should I leave to be there on time. Basically time is the enemy at my house. THere never seems to be enough so I feel like a drill sargent instead of a mom.

Since I don't have kids yet, I would say the worst thing is that I actually have to go back to work! I am a 6th grade science teacher, so I get the summers off. I have truly enjoyed sleeping in....

I hate trying to get everyone in the car in the morning, even the little ones who are not in school yet! The kit looks so darling. Can't wait to see the whole thing!

I hate the whole rush in the morning to get everyone to school/work on time! The kit looks great!

Hmmm - I don't really hate anything yet. The early wake up calls are annoying, but I don't really hate that. And this is the first year for us with school - so I'm sure I'll find things to hate soon enough, lol. Probably doing up lunches - I'm not a fan of the Suzy Homemaker life, lol :P

Oh, I SO hate the adjustment back to so much school work and especially the homework at night and projects - YUCKY! Such an awesome looking school kit Amber! Thanks for the chance to win!

This looks awesome!!! The part I hate is making the kids go to bed early, and having to be all organized. That's just NOT me! lol Thanks for the chance!

The packing and unpacking is what I hate most -- backpacks, snacks, lunches, after school activity sports gear, etc.. Drives me crazy!

I think what I hate the most is making sure they have good breakfasts and lunches! Also, the backpack DUMP, right in the entry, no matter how much I remind them to pick it up! Thanks for the chance to win!

Thanks so much for the chance to make some fun pages with what looks to be a fab new school-ish kit. I am not a morning person, but the getting up early is the least of my worries at the moment. My least favorite part about all of this is that he (DS) has to go at all. WAH! Josh is starting PreK in a few days and this mamma is NOT ready! WAH! WAH! I know, rather hope, that it will get easier with time but I am telling you that right now I am a bundle of nerves. WAH!

What a fun Back To School kit! Love it!!

The one thing I really don't like about going back to school, is having to go to bed earlier, and get up early! I'm such a night person during the summer- staying up until 12:30am or 1am! But, I get to sleep in! I'm going to have to start going to bed earlier, and getting up earlier! Oh well, more uninterrupted scrapping time! :)

Looks like a fabulous kit. The one thing that I hate about back to school is homework. Especially since my son is getting to the age where I have to step back and not help as much.

well, i don't have kids in school anymore, but when I did I hated after school care. being a working single parent it was always a nightmare to find a safe and happy environment for my daughter for after school hours. sure glad i don't have to deal with that anymore.

This is my first year experiencing "real" school (dd just started kindergarten) and thus far I can say I am not a fan of the early mornings.:-( I was also hoping the cafeteria lunches as an option would get me out of having to pack lunches every day but no such luck!

Well, my oldest will be starting kindergarten in a week so I don't hate anything, yet. I'm sure that I will hate how tired he comes home every day, at least for the first bit! We're doing VBS this week and those mornings wear him out so I'm sure school will do the same!!

These look adorable (especially that alpha!!) Thanks for the chance!
